Oh man-The Retrospectacle is 2 weeks from tomorrow!! (can you believe it’s coming up so fast)
A big thank you to all who attended, performed and volunteered their time to the fundraiser last Saturday. it was a huge success.
(And congratulations to the raffle winners…Walking away with 2 day passes ain’t half bad)
We also wanted to pass along some news for the onstage selections of KMFDM during the weekend:
EN ESCH, GUENTER SCHULZ and RAYMOND WATTS–
will have a special guest on Friday and Sunday.
Singer MONA MUR from Berlin, longtime collaborator and friend,
is going to do vocals and keys on stage with them.
KMFDM opened for MONA MUR and her band in 1985 at a legendary Hamburg concert.
Raymond Watts was Mona Mur’s and Einstürzende Neubauten’s
sound engineer at the time.
Mona also contributed to KMFDM’s album “WWIII” in 2003.
Since 2008 MONA MUR and EN ESCH are working on stage
and in the studio together.
Their first album “120 Tage – The Fine Art of Beauty and Violence”
was licensed in 2010 by Artoffact Records Canada.
Shortly after the WAX TRAX! RETROSPECTACLE
on Thursday April 21st MONA MUR & EN ESCH
play their first full length concert
in the US at Europa Club, Brooklyn, NY.
Okay…back to work. Lot’s to do before April 15th
See you SOON!
